FINDING OUR WAY TOGETHER:
ADULT FAITH FORMATION
Every disciple of the Lord Jesus shares in the mission to proclaim God’s word. To do our part, adult Catholics must be mature in faith and well equipped to share the Gospel. We are men and women of faith which is grounded in a deep commitment to the person and message of of Jesus. We are on a life-long spiritual journey together.
The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation History
“To fall in love with God is greatest of all romances; to seek Him, the greatest adventure….”
The Bible Timeline is a Catholic approach to Scripture that invites us into a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ. This program focuses on 14 books of the Bible that tell the story of Creation to the time of the Church. Scripture is presented from within the framework of the biblical canon as it has come down to us through the Church, interpreting the texts is light of God’s plan.
We invite you to be part of this study program that will be facilitated by: Deacon Charles Williams and Deacon Chris Malone.
Dates are: May 16, 23, 30 June 13, 20, July 18, August 1, 8 September 6, 13 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Parish Hall

Rise Against Hunger
Postponed – Date to be determined.
“LET US LOVE NOT BY WORDS BUT WITH DEEDS”
At the conclusion of the Jubilee on Mercy Pope Francis has declared November 19th to be “FIRST WORLD DAY OF THE POOR”. Pope Francis has asked that all parish communities make an effort to “create moments of encounter, friendship, solidarity and concrete assistance” to support those that live in poverty. Cathedral of the Sacred Heart will be hosting the Rise Against Hunger on a date still to be determined. Our parish community will put together 300 nutritious meals that will provide food to the world’s most vulnerable. Rise Against Hunger’s mission is a world without hunger. Their mission is to end hunger in our lifetime. This organization will deliver the necessary items for the volunteers from our parish to package the individual meals.
Mark your calendar…..together we can help answer
Pope Francis’ call to “stretch out our hands” to those in need.

Cathedral Retreat Resources
The Cathedral Parish Retreat at Richmond Hill was a time for us to pray for our parish, our community and other concerns. We also discovered new ways to grow in our prayer life. Maybe you would like to continue this path of prayer by getting together with a few parishioners and praying together on a regular basis at someone’s home.
The resources are bountiful to use or you can form a way that fits your desire to offer prayer and conversation together.
Please email Maria Thorsen if you would like to form a small group of prayer.
“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me, turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” Psalm 17:16
